The Wisdom of Trauma Live-In Person Immersion at Kripalu October 2024

What are the dates, schedule and time commitment?

This 6-day event will run live from Sunday, October 20th - Friday, October 25th, 2024, and will take place at Kripalu located at 57 Interlaken Road, Stockbridge, MA 01262, USA. All live sessions will be recorded and participants, whether registered for the in-person or live-streamed event, will have lifetime access to the recordings to watch in their own time via our Online Learning Platform. View the immersion schedule here.

Are meals included in the in-person event?

Yes! At the heart of our immersion is the belief that transformation and healing is a collective journey and ‘breaking bread’ together provides a powerful avenue for fostering a supportive community that shares your passion for somatic practices. All meals are provided by Kripalu and are included in your lodging or commuter fee.

Do I need to attend live or am I able to watch recordings?

All live sessions will also be recorded and participants (live-stream and in-person_ will have lifetime access to watch the recordings in their own time. It will take approx 14 days for these recordings to be available to you.

How can I interact with the instructors? Will I receive guidance?

Students live in-person and live-streamed via Zoom will be able to participate in the Q&A, if provided for the session.

Live-in person participants will be able to attend faculty book-signings offered throughout the event.

A private Online Community Forum will be provided for all participants to communicate with each other before, during and after the immersion.

What are the homework requirements?

There are no homework assignments for this immersion.

What discounts will Embody Lab Members receive?

All Embody Lab Members will receive a $50 discount on the immersion registration. Please note that we are unable to offer discounts on any third-party purchases including but not limited to the Town and Country Resort, meal plans, and bookstore purchases. Do you offer scholarships?

We are able to offer:

• Live in-person - 10 Scholarships at 25% and 5 Scholarships at 50%

How to Apply:

• The deadline to apply for a scholarship to the Live-In Person Event has passed. For those who submitted by the due date, scholarships will be communicated by end of day Monday, December 4 at 11:59pm ET.

For those who submitted by the due date, scholarships will be communicated by end of day Wednesday, July 24th at 11:59pm PT.

Is there a deadline for registration?

Registration for both the in-person and live-stream event is open until the day before the immersion begins on Saturday, October 18th, 2024. I am attending the immersion live in-person or on Zoom via live-stream. Where can I find information about the event?

Information about the event, may be found on your online learning platform here: learn.theembodylab.com. When you registered for the immersion, you created a login and received immediate access to the online learning platform plus a welcome email from info@theembodylab.com.

Do you offer refunds?

No, we do not offer refunds for The Wisdom of Trauma Healing Immersion. All payments are non-refundable. Please be mindful prior to and during travel to avoid illness as there is no refund issued for illness. However, if The Wisdom of Trauma Healing Immersion is canceled, you will be refunded for the immersion registraion.

How can I access the online recordings?

The full immersion collection will be available within 14 days after the end of the live event on your online learning platform. You will receive an email letting you know it is ready.

ACCESSIBILITY | Video / Audio / Transcripts: Within our online learning platform, you may watch the video within your online library or download the video, audio, and pdf of transcript in English to your computer. You will have lifetime access to the content.

Please note - closed-captioning within the video is available during the Zoom live-streaming of the event according to Zoom’s current supported languages.

ACCESSIBILITY | Presentations: PDFs of the instructor’s presentation will also be provided.

Is this a theoretical or practical (experiential) program?

While some theory will be presented to support the learning, the primary focus of the practice is experiential, giving practical tools for the participants.

Will I receive a certificate?

No, certificates will not be administered for this immersion.

Will Continuing Education Units (CEUs) be offered?

Below is more information on the health professionals which may be eligible for CEs through the Spiritual Competency Academy (SCA) which is co-sponsoring this program.

• CE credits for psychologists are provided by the Spiritual Competency Academy (SCA) which is co-sponsoring this program. The Spiritual Competency Academy is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Spiritual Competency Academy maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
• The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFT license renewal for programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.
• SCA is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider CEP16887) for licensed nurses in California. RNs must retain this document for 4 years after the course concludes.
